Small groups, a week at a time, and a coach watching every session. What changes depends on which week you take — what is going on in your head, what your body does on the board, or the kind of wave asking the questions.

The Confident Surfer
You know what to do. Something stops you doing it.
This week is about that something. Fear, and the habits built around it — hesitating on the take-off, letting the good one go, surfing where it is safe instead of where it is working. We train the surfing and the head at the same time, because separating them is why it never sticks.
You leave with tools you keep using, not a good week you look back on — a surfer who reads a session and decides for themselves. Built and run by Vasco and Kim Chareonbood (Fearless Surfer) together: Vasco takes surf, surfskate, the pop-up and video, Kim takes the mental work, the breathing and the fear.
01Surf
One coached surf session a day, coached from the water, filmed and reviewed the same evening.
02Mental
A daily session with Kim. It starts online a month before you arrive, so the work is underway by day one.
03Surfskate
Every day. The movement of the link at a volume the ocean cannot give you in a week.
04Pop-up
Rebuilt on a Surfset trainer or in the pool, on ground that does not move while you learn it.
05Fear management
The one that decides everything else. Named, worked on and practised through the week, not something you are told to push through and hope goes away.
Every day: one coached surf session, surfskate, mental training, pop-up or pool work, and your own footage looked at the same evening. Eight people, all boards and surfskates provided.

Three levels, same programme
The programme doesn't change. Where it starts does. Pick the wrong level and the week is wasted, so don't guess — put your best guess in the form, say honestly what you can and can't do in the water, and we'll tell you which one fits. Including when the honest answer is to wait a season.

For you if
You've always wanted to surf but never dared, or you've had a lesson or two and want to feel genuinely confident.
We expect to run First Waves, Next Level and Turns & Power again on similar dates. Some details and the pricing will change, and nothing is confirmed until it is. The list hears first and gets the spots before anything goes public.
"The daily video analysis helped me see what I have to change in the water. Learning the movements on the surfskate first and then transferring them really helped me improve in one week."
Nicole, 36 — Switzerland · Aljezur, Intermediate
"The group was perfect with 8 participants, so it was easy to open up and share fears and challenges with the other women."
Lisa, 38 — Austria · Aljezur, Experienced Beginner
"Since the intensive duck diving training, I'm now happy when a big, powerful wave rolls towards me. The video analysis gave me clarity about my mistakes."
Rosie, 48 — Switzerland · Aljezur, Intermediate
Programme 02 · Sri Lanka
Warm water. Long rides. Someone watching every one.
A holiday that leaves you surfing better than when you arrived.
Most of what Europeans call a surf trip is a beach break, a wetsuit and four days of waiting. This is the other kind: warm water, waves that run long enough to actually work on something, and proper coaching while you are on them.
It keeps the feeling of a holiday and adds a progression environment — coached sessions, video, and the space to put the work in without it becoming a training camp. A different programme, not a Confident Surfer week somewhere warmer. The shape of the week is still being set.
28 January – 6 February 2027
The dates are set. The waitlist hears first and gets the spots before anything goes public.
Mental training first, before anything else — you go into the water in the right state rather than trying to settle yourself once you're already tense. Then the surf session with in-water coaching. Then video analysis of what just happened, while it's still fresh. Then the land work: surfskate, pop-up practice, or pool and beach exercises, depending on what the video showed and what the conditions allow. The order matters, and it doesn't change.
First Waves and Next Level. Women learn faster, take more risks and progress more confidently in women-only surf environments, and that isn't up for discussion on those weeks. Turns & Power in April and Sri Lanka in 2027 are open to women and men. Coaching, the Snapshot and the certification are open to everyone.
Concrete Surfers and Fearless Surfer, together, since the first one. Vasco handles surf coaching, surfskate, video analysis and the on-the-ground logistics; Kim Chareonbood handles mental training, breathwork and the booking admin. Applications sent here reach both of us.
Above eight, personalised video analysis and in-water coaching stop being possible. It's a delivery constraint, not a scarcity tactic.
Practical
No. Surfboards and surfskates are provided and matched to your level and the conditions. Bring your own if you prefer, just tell us in advance.
Yes, with partner properties close to the surf. Full details and the complete breakdown come once your application is confirmed.
Most people do, and get more out of it that way. Coming with a friend is equally fine.
Apply for a spot.
Tell us which week you're looking at and roughly where your surfing is. If the one you picked isn't the right fit, we'll say which one is. You'll hear back within 24 hours.
